Biography

James Xu is responsible for leading the global legal function at Rapid Micro Biosystems. Previously, he was a Partner in the life sciences business unit at Goodwin Procter LLP, a global law firm with nearly 2,000 attorneys in the United States, Europe and Asia. Over the course of 13 years at Goodwin, Mr. Xu advised numerous innovative and high-growth emerging companies in the healthcare industry, and had a practice focused on capital markets, corporate finance, public company reporting and governance.

Mr. Xu earned his bachelors’ degrees in Economics and Political Science from the University of California, Davis, and his juris doctor degree from Harvard Law School.
